Artist's Narrative

Both the young and the young at heart will enjoy the productions in the Phoenix’s upcoming season.  Come visit the Phoenix at the Vern Riffe Center.  The Phoenix has won awards for past productions of Anne of Green Gables, The Indian in the Cupboard, and Sarah Plain and Tall, as well as being nominated by the Greater Columbus Arts Council for artistic excellence for its productions of Kabuki Sleeping Beauty, To Be A Drum,  Seussical, and The Secret Garden.  Under the direction of Steven C. Anderson, the Phoenix is committed to providing young people and their families with theatrical and educational experiences that encourage and enhance an awareness of self and the world in which we live. Frequent themes of the plays are self-reliance, an understanding of the importance of community, the personal empowerment of young people, and our responsibilities and citizens of the world.
